Community Ventures Leeds celebrate success in the RICS Pro Yorkshire Awards on Friday 11th May 2012.
Community Ventures South Kirby Ltd is driving the way forward for new investment into primary care services across the north of England. Work begins on site on Friday 18th May 2012 and local services across health and social care are in celebratory mood.
Community Ventures and the GPs have come together to form a true partnership for local people. The aim of the joint venture is to ensure that local needs are met for the long term. The two GP practices Dr Chandy and partners Drs Diggle and Okine have said how excited they are to see the first Turf being turned, for the £6.5 million centre, which is being built by Miller Construction.

The Greater Manchester Trauma Centre will work as part of a network of NHS organisations operating from the moment a 999 call comes in to the time, maybe months later, when a patient returns home.
Greater Manchester’s Trauma Centre will be provided across three hospital sites working together, these three hospital sites are:
• Wythenshawe Hospital (University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust)
• Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, and
• Manchester Royal Infirmary (Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust)
This Collaborative Centre will be supported by a number of Trauma Units (Royal Oldham Hospital, Stepping Hill Hospital, The Albert Edward Infirmary), and other NHS services across Greater Manchester providing different aspects of a patients care.

A review of the collective achievements of LIFTCos in the CHP North region during the 12 months to March 2012 shows a track record of significant achievement.
Twelve new schemes have become operational over the period creating 51,000m2 of LIFT accommodation, available for services and patients. The schemes represent a combined investment of £135m in providing improved premises for health care delivery.
A further fifteen schemes were under construction as at the financial year end. These are all forecast to become operational by the end of 2012/13. Together these schemes will add 40,000m2 of state of the art accommodation for patient services.
